PEACE RIVER WATER QUALITY & TRAINING FACILITY

Project Manager/ Project Designer for an addition to the Peace River Manasota Water Supply Plant which included administration space, laboratory and training facility.
Responsibilities included client relations and programming, conceptual design, construction documents and construction administration and inspections.
Client had an existing two-story facility. They requested additional administrative space and their laboratory was insufficient. They also needed a training space.
The most difficult part of the project was how to incorporate an existing facility with pebble rock exterior and feel like it was one facility. The green canted wall was used primarily to accommodate the different roof levels and to separate the differing functions of the addition but also to have a focus of entrance and blend with the existing structure.
Client was extremely pleased with the addition that more projects were obtained.
